B.Sc. Nursing
Approved by Punjab Nurses Registration Council (Chandigarh, Punjab), Indian Nursing Council (New Delhi) and affiliated with Baba Farid University  of Health Sciences, Faridkot.

Procedure of Admission:
Strictly based on Punjab Government notification governing admission to B.Sc. Nursing admission is on the basis of Punjab Para Medical Entrance Test (PPMET) conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences.
The admission process will Start with publication of Punjab Government notification for PPMET  (Punjab Para Medical Entrance Test). The prospectus of PPMET is available at office of BFUHS and at the branches of banks & institutions specified by the university. Detail information will be available at the website of BFUHS www. Babafariduniv.com. the candidate is required to fill up the form given in the BFUHS prospectus and appear for the entrance test. Thereafter a centralized counseling will be held at the venue of specified by the BFUHS. During the counseling the candidates are required to opt for the college of their choice. Usually arrangement is made for candidates for submission of fees at the venue of counseling.

NRI Seats 
Certain percentage of the seats as decided  by government shall be earmarked for foreign Indian students as part of management Quota.
NRI candidates are not required to take an entrance test. However they should have pass qualifying examination in the subject of Physics, chemistry , Biology and English individually as regular candidate from recognized /university and should have obtained 50% marks in Physics , Chemistry and Biology individually and combined. For admission against NRI seats, the candidates shall apply to BFUHS, Faridkot.

Management Seats
Certain percentage of seats as decided by Punjab Govt. will be kept as management seats. This wil include NRI seats, Candidates from other states and admission to these will be done on the basis of criteria laid down by government notification.

Eligibility for Admission and selection criteria:

I.  Age:  The age of candidate shall be between 17 years to 35 years.
II. Minimum Qualification:  Minimum Qualification shall be 12 years of schooling (10+2) or its equivalent with 45% marks (40% for SC/ST). Preference shall be given to those having passed 10+2 or its equivalent with science subjects i.e. physics, chemistry & Biology/Math.
III. Interview:  Candidate will be invited for interview on merit basis on the marks obtained by them in the 10+2 Examination. Appearing for interview is compulsory. 
IV. Medical: Candidate should be medically fit.
V.  Gender:  Only female candidates can apply.
If at any stage, it is found that the candidate has submitted any false information in her application form then her candidature shall be cancelled.

IF THE CANDIDATE LEAVES THE THREE YEARS TRAINING COURSE IN-BETWEEN, SHE HAS TO DEPOSIT THE ADMISSION FEE FOR THE REMAINING PERIOD. 


Note:- 
1) No correspondence will be entertained by the institution concerning the rejection of candidates. 
2) Interview-Board decision will be considered as final.
3) Appearing for the interview does not mean selection. 
4) The selected candidate must deposit the fee within 3 days otherwise the seat will be offered to next deserving candidate in the waiting list.

 

Medical Examination:
Medical fitness will be pre-condition for admission to the institute. Selected candidates will be medically examined by a Medical Board constituted by the Institute .The joining will only be accepted after the candidate is found to be medically fit by the medical examination board. 


 



Registration:
The students who are declared pass in the final year examination are eligible for registration with Punjab Nurses Registration Council as Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife. The students have to pay registration fee on their own to the PNRC through the institution.

 

 

Ragging:

Ragging is strictly prohibited in the institute as well as in the hostel. Senior and Junior students are required to maintain cordial relationship with each other and a disciplined atmosphere in the institute.
If a student is found frequently violating hostel and hospital rules and regulations, a warning may be given in the first instance. After three warnings if still found repeating the same mistake, the student may either be dismissed or be given suitable punishment depending on the severity of the incidence or mistake
